ALC 50 Water Filter
Carbon Filtration Solutions have been developing water phase canisters for 8 years. The importance of Activated Carbon for water filtration is growing as industries seek inexpensive and effective solutions to comply with environmental Legislation, which demand cleaner discharges from factories. Our Water Canisters are prefabricated, ready to use, self contained water purification units.
The system is able to remove hazardous or toxic dissolved organics from waste water streams, hazardous waste lagoons, hydrocarbons, surfactants and colour from effluent streams, making the water suitable for discharge or in some cases for re-use. A single unit should not exceed 35 litres per minute, the treated water flow can be increased by placing the canisters in a series of two or more.
General Information
The two most important factors affecting the efficiency of carbon for water filtration are the amount of activated carbon in the canister, and the amount of time the contaminant spends in contact with it.
The more carbon the better. Similarly, the lower the flow rate of water, the more time that contaminants will be in contact with the carbon, and the more absorption that will take place.
The most effective carbon types used in water filtration are wood and coconut shell carbons. While coconut shell carbon typically costs 15 to 20% more than wood it is regarded as the most effective.
Carbon Air Filters
Improved indoor air quality is a major issue facing industries today. Carbon air filters are designed to be used to clean air of gases and odours, the chemical pollution that affects heath and productivity.
As air passes through the filter, dust particulates are stopped by the polyester media (per filter)and odorous gases are controlled by the carbon bed. By backing a dust filtration media with the impregnated activated carbon we achieve a dual filtration effect.
The most effective results are obtained in a recirculating application, each time air passes through the filter its level of purity is increased. The critical component of the filter is the layer of Activated Carbon.
Filter frames can be made to any size required.
PureAir 100 Vapour - Odour
The PureAir series have been developed as a cost effective means of controlling odours and toxic vapours in the industrial area. The most common applications of Activated Carbon Canisters are for the process of gases, tank vent odour control, either within the workplace or vented to atmosphere.
Our activated carbon canisters are constructed of heavy-duty mild steel and Epon lined for corrosion resistance, with epoxy coating on the outside. Inlet and Outlet connections are 100NB PVC pipe, 50NB BSP pipe or custom made combinations to match your project requirements. Canisters can be fitted with our automatic heat sensing and water quenching systems if required.
Carbon Filtration Solutions can arrange the installation of all canisters, Special application carbons, corrosion resistant FRP fans, and skid mounted canisters with weather protection. Multiple canister absorbers may be installed in a series or parallel if high flow rates or longer contact times are required.
Activated Carbon Odour Vent Filter
Carbon Filtration Solutions odour vent filters come in standard sizes, 50/65/100/150 and 300mm, with each filter designed to slip over your existing pipe work. They have been designed to remove hydrogen sulphide gas (H2S), Mercaptans and VOCs removal through adsorption and treatment processes when installed and operated in accordance with product specifications.
